APPROVED PLANS PROJECT REVIEW

Before you sign with a contractor, know what needs a closer look.

Have plans and contractor proposals for your San Diego project? H&M Development helps you compare the scope, organize the full project budget, and identify questions to resolve before you commit.

For San Diego property owners and investors planning ADUs, multiple ADUs, multifamily developments, additions, renovations and new residential construction.

What you receive in your review

Contractor proposal comparison: Compare proposals against supplied project information, including scope, exclusions and allowances.

Project budget worksheet: Organize quoted costs, remaining owner expenses, contingency and amounts still needing confirmation.

Written findings and next steps: Receive prioritized questions for your contractor, designer and other project professionals.

Review call with Carlos: Walk through the findings and discuss your next decisions.

A review scoped to your project.

We confirm the review scope, fixed fee and delivery date after a short conversation and a check of your available documents. You receive a written proposal before deciding whether to proceed.

For multiple ADUs and multifamily projects, we scope the buildings, units, phases and proposals covered, including shared site and utility costs.

How it works

1. Share your project: Tell us the city, project type, planned units or buildings, approval stage and contractor status.

2. Agree on the review: Confirm the scope, fixed fee and delivery date before paid work begins.

3. Review your next steps: Receive written findings and a call with Carlos. Ongoing owner representation is separately agreed.

Practical project experience behind the review.

Castana Street: From two homes to four

Carlos guided property evaluation, development strategy, design and permitting coordination, budget review, and owner representation through completion. The project combined two home renovations and two attached ADUs for long-term ownership.

Hemlock Street: Adding a detached ADU

Explore the documented 1,129-square-foot, two-story ADU and real construction photographs showing the project as it progressed.

These examples illustrate Carlos’s project experience; they are separate projects, not outcomes of this review package.
